Meet Captain Gabe Escobar
Meet Captain Gabe Escobar And His Boat: The Top-Tier Texas Fishing And Hunting Guide
About Captain Gabe Escobar
Meet Capt. Gabe Escobar, a native of South Texas who was born and raised in Corpus Christi. When he's not working on his cattle ranch or hunting for dove, quail, and deer in the South Texas brush, he's wade-fishing the crystal clear waters of the Laguna Madre in search of Redfish and Speckle Trout. For him, these places are what he considers to be "In My Element," where he feels most alive.
Capt. Gabe has a strong South Texas cultural background and is bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and English. He's been hunting in many of the south Texas counties and into Old Mexico. He knows what it takes to have a successful hunting lease and has even rattled-up Trophy White Tail and tired-out Big Trophy Trout and Redfish with light tackle. He has also bagged many limits of Dove and Quail with his Hungarian Vizsla Bird Dogs, the 'Best of Both Worlds.' He has become a good cook (Campo-style foods) through years of practice and has even invented a few of his own "Ranch Recipes."
After attending A&I University Kingsville and the University of Houston, Central Campus, Capt. Gabe worked in Houston, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi. In the mid-90s, he started his own business and purchased his ranch, both of which he built from scratch.
In 2009, Capt. Gabe sold his business and became a full-time Rancher & Outdoorsman. This has allowed him to pursue his passion for ranching, hunting, and fishing. His business successes have enabled him to hunt and fish in various locations across the US, Canada, Mexico, and the US Virgin Islands. He has experienced great lifelong memories and had some great hunting and fishing adventures that he enjoys sharing with other avid outdoorsmen.
